Functieomschrijving

The Sector Manager Poultry reports directly to the BU Director. He/she provides direct leadership to a product-manager, a sales manager layers and a team of account managers broilers. He/ she provides functional leadership to the MARCOM team.

The Sector Manager Poutry is responsible for Sales and marketing -activities and -knowledge, defining and achieving sales volumes, optimizing margins, minimize costs, stimulating growth of market share in the attractive segments. In this context, the Sector Manager Poultry ensures proper execution of sales activities in the different distribution channels.

Overall Operations / General Management

  • Contribute to the development and achievement of growth in the sector
  • Monitor and optimize the processes of sales, marketing and quality in order to stimulate value creation
  • Support the product manager for the establishment of a product assortment

Commercial activities

  • Build, maintain and make use of a network of relevant parties
  • Manage and measure the performance of commercial activities, creating new business
  • Optimize customer recruitment and retention process
  • Being a representative in the market, translate market needs into product development and supporting the product manager
  • Support the sales force by knowledge sharing and coaching
  • Responsible for managing key accounts, both with a commercial and financial perspective (credit management)

Budget and performance achievement

  • Preparation and achievement of budgets related to volume achievement, margin optimization and cost control
  • Monitor financial and operational performance by means of knowledge and control mechanisms
  • Monitoring of implementation of new concepts and market introductions
  • Responsible for accounts receivables with key accounts

People and organizational management

  • People management in line with policies and guidelines of ForFarmers
  • Ensure adequate quantitative and qualitative staffing
  • Coaching, motivating and directing employees
  • Responsible performance appraisal interviews
  • Responsible for recruiting and selecting new staff
